Junior Lifeguard Program
REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS!
Newport Residents
To secure a place in the program you must select your child's uniform sizes and
pay the program fee by 6pm on March 19th (After 6:00pm your assigned key code will no longer work)
PLEASE
Follow the printed directions you received at Registration to complete the process
1. Click on the Link below "Get Started"
2. Enter the Key Code in the upper right corner on your handout
***If you registered last year your e-mail and password will remain the same
3. Enter your new Key Code and fill out child's information
4. Make your choices for sizes
5. Before making your payment, review sizes and optional items
6. Make your payment
7. Click on "View Receipt "
8. Then "Print Receipt"
The next step is to pick up your uniforms
Uniform will be available for pick up on the following dates
Tuesday 6/9/2008 (3- 6pm)
Wednesday 6/10/2008 (3-6pm)
Thursday 6/11/2008 (3-6pm)
Friday 6/12/2008 (3-6pm)
Saturday 6/13/2008 (9-12 noon)

Purpose of the Program
The program will acquaint participants with hazards that exist in the marine environment
as well as provide ocean safety training.
Limited Enrollment
Due to safety concerns, we will only accept 1,250 participants.
Swim Test
Swim Tests Are Complete For Summer 2009
The Junior Lifeguard Swim Test consists of swimming 100 yards
under the time standard for your age group and treading water for 3 minutes.
Program Location
Junior Lifeguard Classes will be held at JUNIOR LIFEGUARD HEADQUARTERS
Located at “A” Street on the South Side of the Balboa Pier.
Program Fee
Newport Beach Residents $645 Non-Residents $750
This fee includes the Junior Lifeguard Uniform,
Special Events, and Junior Membership in the United States LifeSaving Association.
Full payment to the City of Newport Beach is due upon Registration by: credit card, check, or money order. NO CASH!
Cancellations
Cancellations before June 1st are subject to a $200 fee;
after June 1st are subject to NO REFUND.

July 31st - Santa Barbara Fiesta Competition
August 6th - USLA Nationals Florida
August 8th - Gray Lunde Iron Man
August 11th - Graduation
